Kris Canekeratne
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Kris Canekeratne co-founded Virtusa in 1996. His vision was to provide US product developers an unfair advantage: the ability to accelerate product development, mitigate technology risks, and build products more cost-effectively. Under Kris's leadership, Virtusa has achieved 26 quarters of growth and is profitable. Kris took a two year leave of absence in 1997 to co-found edocs. As EVP of Technology, he helped chart edocs' technical direction and continues to be a strategic advisor to edocs. Prior to Virtusa and edocs, he was on the founding team, EVP and CTO of INSCI Corp., and was part of the management team that took the company public. Before INSCI, Kris worked for the Independent Election Corporation of America, a fully owned subsidiary of ADP. Kris holds a BS in Computer Science from Syracuse University.

 

Tom Holler
Chief Financial Officer

Tom Holler, Virtusa's Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of finance, brings over 18 years experience in finance and operations. He has extensive experience working with both established emerging companies. Before joining Virtusa, Tom CFO and vice president of finance at Cerulean Technology, which was acquired by Aether Systems, leading global supplier of wireless mobile applications
and services. Prior to Aether, Tom worked at 3COM, Programart, Teradyne and Unisys. Tom received Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wayne State University.

     

Hariharan Murthy
Executive Vice President - Head of Worldwide Sales & Marketing

Hari Murthy is responsible for world-wide sales and marketing and has developed a world class sales execution engine. Hari joined Virtusa after a long and extremely successful career at Infosys Technologies Ltd., where he headed the Global Sales Organization for the Communication and Product Services Practice and was a member of the Management Council. Prior to Infosys, Hari founded the India operations of Redington Pte. (Singapore) Ltd. Hari holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Bhopal, India and a Post Graduate Business Degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

 

Tushara Canekeratne
Executive Vice President, Technical Operations

Tushara Canekeratne is a co-founder of Virtusa. As Executive Vice President, Technical Operations, she has worldwide responsibility for managing global delivery, process and knowledge management. Prior to Virtusa, she was Director of Internet Engineering at INSCI Corp., a leading supplier of digital document repositories and integrated output management products and services. A member of INSCI's founding team, Tushara was responsible for developing a cutting-edge product, 'Coinserve' that was named Product of the Year by the Association of Imaging and Information Management and Imaging Magazine. Tushara holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Loughborough University (UK).

     

Keith Modder
Managing Director, Asian Operations

As Managing Director Asian Operations, Keith is responsible for Virtusa's Advanced Technology Centers in Colombo, Sri Lanka and Hyderabad, India. Keith counts over 18 years experience in the IT Industry. Prior to joining Virtusa, he was the Managing Director of two John Keells IT companies (one of Sri Lanka's largest Blue Chips), which collectively represented IBM, Cisco, Lucent and Toshiba. Keith was with the Group for over eight years and was one of the youngest to be appointed to a Managing Director position. Prior to Keells, Keith worked at DMS/WANG for 9 years.

 

John Gillis
Executive Vice President

John Gillis, a co-founder of Virtusa, is responsible for managing key accounts and customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Virtusa, John was a founder, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of INSCI Corp., a leading supplier of statement/bill portal services and digital document repositories. As a key member of the management team, John helped take the company public in 1994. Prior to INSCI, John spent more than 20 years in sales and sales management with IBM, EXXON, and Data General, where he developed a small Citicorp opportunity into a major $10 million account by helping the bank rethink its credit business. John holds a B.S. in Economics from Stonybrook College.
