This marketing subsidiary comes under Microsoft Corporation, India (MCI), and commenced its operations in India in 1990. Today the company has 7 offices spread across Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Chennai, engaged in consulting and marketing of Microsoft products. Since its inception in 1990, MCI has grown to over 450 employees and has built a strong channel comprising over 4000 members including 275+ ISVs and 200 solution partners.

Microsoft India Development Center (MSIDC)
MSIDC has developed and released many core products and technologies to the world-wide market since its inception in India in 1998. One of the unique aspects about MSIDC is the end-to-end responsibility teams in India that has been set up for every product, feature or technology they develop. This development Center in Hyderabad, India, is the second largest development center outside the US facility in Redmond. MIDC plays a critical role in Microsoft's global product development initiatives and future product innovations.
Some of the key development initiatives from MIDC include Data Protection Manager, RFID Platform Technologies, Office Mobile, Windows SFU, Features of Longhorn, Visual Studio, Office Live Meeting and Microsoft-CRM. MSIDC has one fourth of its engineers working on Windows Vista and Longhorn Server. Global Delivery Centre India (GDCI)
Microsoft Global Delivery center India is an extension of the global Microsoft IT team developing mission critical enterprise applications that support Microsoft’s business worldwide. Since its inception in Oct 2002, GDCI has grown to deliver almost 50% of Microsoft internal IT applications requirements. Besides, it also manages Microsoft’s global data centers, corporate network, 8000+ Servers and various other infrastructure management activities from Hyderabad. The Network Operations Center located on the campus in Hyderabad is the backbone of the Microsoft IT team that monitors and supports global IT operations spanning over 300, 000 PCs, 2000 applications, and 89000 end-users in over 83 countries. The IT infrastructure of Microsoft supports in excess of 104, 000 email server accounts and traffic of over 3 million emails a day with 99.99% availability.
GDCI’s mission is to work on the next generation technologies based on pre-ready to manufacture (RTM) Microsoft products and technologies like VB.NET; C#.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Server; Yukon; XML web services; SOAP; and BizTalk Server and create applications to run Microsoft Businesses worldwide. GDCI is home to the global centers of excellence where work on defining enterprise architecture and owning technology roadmaps take place.

Microsoft India GTSC, established in October 2003 in India, is part of Microsoft's Customer Service and Support (CSS) organization which has locations throughout the Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Greater China.
Microsoft's Customer Service and Support organization supports over 200 Microsoft products which range from the Consumer to Enterprise customer segments. With its global partner network and services infrastructure, MGSI enables the successful adoption, deployment, and productive use of Microsoft solutions and technologies for all customers. Established in May 2005, MGSI provides full lifecycle delivery capabilities that involve the architecture, design, building, testing, deployment and maintenance of solutions built on the Microsoft platform. MGSI partners with India-based global Solution Integrators (SIs) to scale its capabilities and provide knowledge transfer on cutting edge Microsoft technologies.

The typical solutions include deep technology skills in Portals and Collaboration, Enterprise Application Integration, Databases, and Infrastructure Integration.
