The Kuoni Travel Group, India, is the country's largest travel & tourism company and a 100% subsidiary of Kuoni Travel Holding. The company was formed in 1996 through the acquisition of SOTC, India's foremost outbound package tour brand; with a vision to provide all travel and travel related services to travellers to, from and within India.

Today, Kuoni-India is active across virtually every travel segment including Leisure Travel, Business Travel, Incoming Services, Visa Services and Travel Related Services. The company employs over 2000 travel professionals and, in 2004, its total turnover crossed Rs. 533 crore. Kuoni-India operates a number of highly successful brands in India and strategic markets around the world. These brands include SOTC World Famous Tours in the Leisure Travel segment; BTI Sita in the Business Travel segment; SITA and Tour Club in the Incoming Services segment; VFS in the Visa Services segment; and Travelmate in the Travel Related Services segment. Kuoni-India is also one of the principal agents for Western Union Money Transfer, across India.

The company is deepl y committed to the Indian travel industry and, among other initiatives, operates the Kuoni Academy of Travel, in five cities across India, offering world-class education and training for young aspirants in the travel and tourism industry. Kuoni-India was awarded the Indian Ministry of Tourism's 'National Tourism Award' for the third year in a row, and the fourteenth year in all, in 2004. In the same year, the company also won the Galileo-Express Travel & Tourism Awards for the 'Best Inbound Travel Operator', 'Best Outbound Travel Operator' and 'Best Business Travel Operator'.
