Paprika Media
Launched in 2004, Paprika Media is the Group’s foray into Publishing. The Publishing business is a separate entity with a dynamic and aggressive team. It tied up with the U.K. based publishing company Time Out in March 2004, to publish an Indian edition of the magazine. Time Out Mumbai was launched in September 2004 as a fortnightly priced at Rs. 25 and has become an integral part of the entertainment of Mumbai. Paprika Media plans to publish this title in other cities as well and is looking at opportunities in the entertainment and lifestyle space.
Aegis Communications Group
India is a major business process outsourcing (BPO) hub of the world. In terms of revenue generation, the BPO Business is going to be a profitable venture and is expected to become the next wealth-creating engine after services.

In order to be a part of this revolution, Essar has created a presence in the BPO market in the US and India, with Aegis Communications Group Inc. Investment firms Deutsche Bank and The Essar Group own the company with a combined 80% stake.

Aegis Communications Group is a Nasdaq-listed company, operating 11 call centres across the US with a capacity of 3,000 seats. It has revenues in excess of USD 100 million and has tremendous potentials for growth.

Essar has a 400-seat call centre in India which caters to the BPO needs of clients in the US and UK.
