Our experience includes application development and migration projects on a turnkey basis, large support/maintenance work on Time & Materials as well as Fixed Price basis, besides onsite consulting assignments. While these are based on the customers' requirements, DSL Software can also customize a specific approach to handle any project and work as a consultant, software developer, systems integrator or turnkey solution provider. Some
of these services are: These projects are usually of an application development nature for which DSL Software has a pre-determined price for the scope of the assignment. In the early phases of the project, a dedicated team of professionals comprising senior project leaders and developers closely interacts with customers to clearly understand their requirements. While construction work is usually carried out at the DSL Software Development Center in Bangalore, we have the infrastructure to work on the customer's environment by remotely logging in from Bangalore using dedicated satellite links. Acceptance testing and implementation is carried out at the customer site. »Migration As in the case of turnkey projects, we work closely with the customer to understand the product architecture and the target environment, following which tools are developed to carry out the technical migration. Sometimes, if the target environment is completely new, the project is implemented in two distinct stages. The first stage is a "pilot" stage where the target environment is completely understood and all issues detailed with microscopic accuracy, following which a representative sample is taken. The second stage is an "execution" stage where the bulk of the project is migrated. For projects of this nature, a pre-determined price charged by DSL Software. »Maintenance and Support DSL Software has a well-defined methodology for these projects involving a three-stage model. In the first stage, the product's functional and technical specifications are understood. The second stage is dedicated to maintenance & enhancements on a Time and Materials basis. In the third stage, DSL Software offers fixed price solutions as an option and if required, takes up the complete responsibilities of the technical center. »System Administration and Technical Support In these projects, DSL Software provides high-end consulting to customers on information technology strategies, product evaluations, upgrade work, capacity planning and networking.
