Artemis Health Sciences is a healthcare venture from the promoters of the Apollo Tyres Group and aims to create an integrated world-class health care system through best medical practices and cutting edge technology developed with in-depth research.

AHI, Gurgaon is a tertiary care facility which delivers the highest levels of professional expertise and innovative health care services. It has a team of highly specialized and experienced medical faculty from India and abroad lead by Dr. Kushagra Katariya, an accomplished cardiac surgeon from the US. Besides offering a wide range of medical services, the hospital super specializes in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, oncology and orthopaedics.

The AHI facility at Gurgaon is designed and constructed in strict accordance with Joint Commission International (JCI) guidelines. Spread across a total area of 525,000 square feet, the facility focuses on offering patients technology-backed world-class healthcare delivered by leading medical professionals certified by international medical bodies. Additionally, AHI follows patient-centric processes conforming to International Patient Protocols, thereby establishing new standards of service and care.

The institution is equipped with the latest technology in predictive, diagnostic and therapeutic imaging, along with the highest levels of in-patient monitoring, and a paperless and film-less Hospital Information System.

Onkar S Kanwar is the Chairman of the latest entrant into Indian healthcare – Artemis Health Sciences (AHS), and its first medical care facility Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon (AHI). Mr Kanwar is also the CMD of Apollo Tyres Ltd, India’s #1 tyre manufacturer and the 14th largest in the world, with a US$ 1 billion-plus turnover.

As a business leader, Mr Kanwar has been closely associated with leading national and international industry organisations. He is a Past President of FICCI & ICC India, the Indian arm of the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce, a former Director with the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India and the Kerala State Industrial Corporation. He has also been the Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association, the apex body of the Indian tyre industry.
 
Mr. ASOKA S. IYER

Mr. Iyer, an engineer from IIT, Kanpur has more than 35 years of experience in leading corporates both in India and Overseas. He has worked in a wide variety of disciplines including Marketing, Technical, Human Resource, Business Strategy & reengineering and International Marketing. Among the companies, he has worked for some of India’s top corporate names including Ranbaxy Ltd., MRF Ltd., RPG Group and Apollo Tyres Ltd.
 
DR. KUSHAGRA KATARIYA, MD FACS
CEO, Artemis Health Sciences

Dr. Katariya, an alumni of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi is an eminent cardiothoracic surgeon with experience of having worked in various hospitals in the United States. He was till recently the Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Miami.  He has also worked in well known hospitals in the United States like Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine New York, Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida.

He has to his credit numerous Books, Monographs and Journals. Dr. Katariya has made presentations at many national and international meetings. He is also a part of various research projects and has been honoured with numerous awards.
 
CDR. JOSE VERGHESE
COO, Artemis Health Institue

Cdr. Verghese has a rich experience in various set ups ranging from Indian Navy to Healthcare. During his tenure with the Indian Navy, he has held a variety of challenging and demanding appointments as a Leader and he was honoured by the President of India with a Nao Sena Medal.

On premature retirement from the Indian Navy, he joined the Apollo Hospitals Group as General Manager (Operations), Chennai. He went on to become the CEO of AMRI Apollo Hospital, Kolkata and finally as Vice President, Apollo Hospital, Colombo. Prior to joining Artemis, he was with Century Hospital, Kerala as Chief Executive.
